A vision brought to life in 2020, Cody Madsen Creative yields a unique business model equipped to handle any level of your project's creative needs from the early stages of ideation to final execution. Ranging from commercial advertising to feature-length documentary whether big brand or small, each project requires and deserves its own unique creative needs and we’re here to help execute.

Cody Madsen
Cody Madsen is a Cinematographer & Producer from Chicago, IL. Since the age of 10, Cody stayed out day & night creating skateboarding videos, skits and filming various shenanigans with his friends. Since making films was a skillset that came natural to Cody, he figured if he had to ‘go get a job’… why not turn his passion into a career and attend film school?!
After receiving his BFA from Columbia College in 2012 with a concentration in Cinematography, he joined the Chicago Bulls in-house production unit in 2014 where he earned and contributed to multiple Emmys, Clios, Tellys, and a Sports Business Journal award. After gaining a plethora of invaluable big brand business knowledge but feeling he reached a creative ceiling, Cody departed after 6 seasons to further hone his craft in cinematography and filmmaking.
In 2020, he established Cody Madsen Creative bringing to life his vision of a passion-first production company uniquely combining the knowledge and experience required for big brand fulfillment. Here, he can’t hit any creative ceilings because the sky's the limit…
Away from a camera, Cody enjoys the tranquility and creative mental challenges of golf, similar to those previously provided through skateboarding (minus the physical toll). His free time is spent on the golf course with a good cigar and better company attempting to break his low score… or a club on the bad days. Otherwise, he spends his time relaxing with his family and his doggy side-kick, Otis.
